Meet the Teachers
Chris Dickson – Yogi Chris Ji
As a Yoga Teacher, Chris initially trained under the guidance of Jayne Nicholls & Di Leek in Manchester before studying under the spiritual guidance of Yogi Chandrakant at Alakyoga, for a month in Rishikesh, India (the Capital of Yoga). Chris undertook further advance study & training in Topovan, Uttarakhand, India, under the spiritual guidance of Madeep ji at Rishikesh Yokulam. During this trip, Chris was introduced to Sound Healing with Himalayan Singing Bowls. Since retuning, Chris has built up an extensive collection of authentic Bowls and instruments and has continued training under the guidance of Vickie Gould at Life Changing Energy and has now achieves ‘Expert’ status.

This has created a wealth of knowledge & experience to share with all.
Nabila Muzaffar
With my love for creativity and meditation and my interest in how we hold, transform and sometimes lose energy you can expect my yoga classes to be relaxed, fun and interesting. I teach a variety of classes from vinyasa flows, in which we move with the breath to yin classes where we hold postures for a long time to discover energy and flexibility within ourselves. Apart from Yoga I have a passion for movement to music and I teach fitness classes such as Body Pump®️, Zen2fit Aerobics, Zen2fit Dance, Zen2spin, Core Fitness & Fitness Pilates.
My relationship with yoga goes a long way back though I didn’t become a committed practitioner until 9 years ago. I have completed 200 hr training with Jo Lockhart at Yoga Jo’s Studio in Glasgow and 300 hr with Rolf Gates, Santa Cruz, California.
Yoga is a calling and a commitment to the spiritual practice of healing; I love to see my students grow on and off the mat and develop confidence in themselves to take on challenges they may not have considered attainable previously. We have created a small community at zen2yoga which we find nurturing and supportive. Yoga has introduced me to some of the best people and I am constantly amazed to witness how people blossom during their practice when they find a place from where they can commit.
Zen2yoga came alive when Chris & Nabila found it difficult to find anywhere to practice yoga locally so felt the best option was to create a space for the community to enjoy.
Fiona McGill aka Red Fox Yoga
Fiona was encouraged to try yoga in 2006, at a time when she faced challenges to her mental health. After stumbling into her first class, an Ashtanga practice at the local community centre, she hasn’t looked back and has since experimented with various styles of yoga.
On completing her 200hr Teacher Training at Merchant City Yoga in 2019, Fiona’s practice was predominantly Ashtanga and Vinyasa until she found a love of Yin to balance out the Yang. She has since completed further training in Yin Yoga with Gemma Maryan, Menopause Yoga with Petra Coveney and is a Certified Breath Coach under the guidance of Lucas Rockwood. In 2022 she completed her 300hr training with YogaCourse to become RYT500, and now continues to learn in line with her mantra ‘forever a student’. Her most recent certification being in Chair Yoga.
Fiona has a day job as a Risk Manager in the Financial Services sector. However, she loves to share her practice, her passion for yoga and the benefits it can bring, whilst debunking the Instagram picture perfect ‘yoga body’ misconceptions.
Rebecca Gavin
I was introduced to yoga around 8 years ago through friends and quickly found it to be beneficial to my wellbeing, both physically and mentally. The practice of yoga has brought joy to my life in so many ways.
I travelled to India in March 2023 to complete a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course, with Jiva Yoga Academy, to experience the teachings and culture of yoga in the town of Rishikesh. This was one of the most wonderful, challenging experiences of my life. I have been building up my teaching experience since my return, incorporating this within my role in health and social care, for the recovery of mental health and well being. Teaching Yoga Nidra is one of my favourites, as I am able to witness the profound transformation this practice can have.
Gillian MacDonald
My yoga experience includes a 200hr RYT yoga teacher qualification in Seasonal Yoga completed in 2021, which alongside seasonal flow and Ashtanga styles includes a blend of Tai Chi, Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I enjoy this approach which encompasses different elements of the changing seasons and nature to improve both physical and mental wellbeing.
In addition to this I have specialised in pregnancy, postnatal and baby yoga, completing an 85hr pregnancy and postnatal yoga course in 2022. I offer a variety of pre and postnatal yoga classes, including a mum and baby yoga class.
With my background in nursing I offer a holistic wellbeing approach to my classes. I enjoy sharing the benefits of yoga with all and making it accessible for pregnant women and families to enjoy too. My aim is to offer a relaxed, welcoming and calming atmosphere in my classes. I enjoy seeing others feel the benefits of yoga and developing a renewed sense of wellbeing and empowerment that it can bring them.
