As a Yoga Teacher, Chris initially trained under the guidance of Jayne Nicholls & Di Leek in Manchester before studying under Yogi Chandrakant for a month in Rishikesh (the home of Yoga). This was the culmination of an interest in yoga dating back to his teenage years when Chris’s mum practiced. Chris teaches all types of yoga and has a calming & relaxing energy that brings peacefulness to all who practice with him.
Chris started his journey in the fitness industry in 1994 after a health scare. By attending a course in Health & Fitness he found a love for teaching classes. Starting out with Aerobic & step classes, Chris went on to establish a career in Leisure whilst continuing to develop as a fitness teacher. Jog Scotland and Indoor Group Cycle were added as well as RPM®️, Body Pump®️, Body Balance®️ and Barre®️. Chris also has 20 years + service with the Military through Territorial Army and the Cadets. This has created a wealth of knowledge & experience to share with all.
With my love for creativity and meditation and my interest in how we hold, transform and sometimes lose energy you can expect my yoga classes to be relaxed, fun and interesting. I teach a variety of classes from vinyasa flows, in which we move with the breath to yin classes where we hold postures for a long time to discover energy and flexibility within ourselves. Apart from Yoga I have a passion for movement to music and I teach fitness classes such as Body Pump®️, Body Attack®️, Barre®️, Spin®️ and Core®️.
My relationship with yoga goes a long way back though I didn’t become a committed practitioner until 5 years ago. I have completed 200 hr training with Jo Lockhart at Yoga Jo’s Studio in Glasgow and 300 hr with Rolf Gates, Santa Cruz, California. Yoga is a calling and a commitment to the spiritual practice of healing; I love to see my students grow on and off the mat and develop confidence in themselves to take on challenges they may not have considered attainable previously. We have created a small community at zen2yoga which we find nurturing and supportive. Yoga has introduced me to some of the best people and I am constantly amazed to witness how people blossom during their practice when they find a place from where they can commit.
A full time job as a hospital consultant, a part time aesthetic practice, two children and two Labradors make for a rich life. I believe in kindness, forgiveness and gratitude, which for me is the essence of yoga.
Zen2yoga came alive when Chris & Nabila found it difficult to find anywhere to practice yoga locally so felt the best option was to create a space for the community to enjoy.

First encountered Yoga in 2005 in the heart of hectic Jakarta, Indonesia. Trained to be Adidas Yoga Ambassador for the Middle East and Africa in 2009. Completed 200hr Yoga Teacher Training (Hatha Flow Yoga) in 2010 in Dubai. I am a curious learner, so since teacher training, I have been to a few workshops, for example: Anusara Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga (Hips Opening focus), Swing (Suspended) Yoga and many more. For me, practicing yoga is as dynamic as our thinking, breathing, and feeling. Each practice is a unique experience. While I do enjoy sharing a good physical practice with others in both dynamic and ‘gentle’ approach,the part that I love the most is how yoga practice teaches us to be more grateful, thoughtful, content, and present.
When not doing yoga, I am also a group fitness instructor for Les Mills Classes (SH’BAM, BODYPUMP, BODYBALANCE, RPM, LM Tone, Sprint) and some freestyle classes (HIIT, Bootcamp, Foam Rolling, Trigger points)
Fiona was encouraged to try yoga in 2006, at a time when she faced challenges to her mental health. After stumbling into her first class, an Ashtanga practice at the local community centre, she hasn’t looked back and has since experimented with various styles of yoga.
On completing her 200hr Teacher Training at Merchant City Yoga in 2019, Fiona’s practice was predominantly Ashtanga and Vinyasa until she found a love of Yin to balance out the Yang. She has since completed further training in Yin Yoga with Gemma Maryan, Menopause Yoga with Petra Coveney and is a Certified Breath Coach under the guidance of Lucas Rockwood.
Fiona also has a day job as a Risk Manager in the Financial Services sector, which is a complete contrast to her role at Zen2Yoga. However, she loves to share her practice, her passion for yoga and the benefits it can bring, whilst debunking the Instagram picture perfect ‘yoga body’ misconceptions.
Hannah first found her love for group fitness when she attended a BODYPUMP class with Chris and Nabila seven years ago. After a few years she went on to City of Glasgow College to study a HND in Fitness, Health and Exercise. This gave her the qualifications required to train in Les Mills programs. Since then she has trained in BODYPUMP, RPM, Les Mills GRIT and most recently Sprint whilst also teaching freestyle classes such as Kettlebells.
Hannah is also a fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and has recently began to take on clients at Zen2yoga for one to one personal training and one to two personal training This has been a great opportunity for not only Hannah but also for some of Zen2yoga’s members as they have received completely unique training sessions that are tailored to them specifically and the goals they wish to achieve.
My first experience of Yoga was at a class at my local gym. The thing I remember most about my first Yoga class, was the deep sense of calmness that I experienced after the class. After a few years of attending different Yoga classes, I met a teacher with roots in Ashtanga Yoga. My teacher not only inspired me to want to learn more—but equipped me with the tools and knowledge to establish my own self practice. I have tried many different types of yoga since then and have met many different teachers who have inspired me to want to deepen my own practice and knowledge of Yoga.
I became certified to teach the Mazé Method of Yoga in 2020. My classes are a mixture of dynamic movement and static poses. I want people to leave my classes with that same feeling—that same sense of calmness that I felt.
The sound of yoga mats being rolled out—the murmur before class—the staggered sounds of breath with movement—the united stillness at the end of a class—the silent buzzing atmosphere—the energy—just some of the things I love about Yoga…
Catherine is a social psychologist and Pilates practitioner, who has practiced since 2001 and qualified as an instructor for mat work in 2013 with Health and Fitness Education. Catherine qualified in 2020 as a Body Pump instructor for Les Mills and is currently working on her Pilates for Pregnancy qualification.
Catherine’s approach to Pilates is a combination of original ‘controlology’, second generation (Stott-aligned) and ‘realistic’ approaches to core muscle engagement for joint stabilisation and mobilisation.
Hi, my name is Dave and I am a Yoga and Breathwork Instructor.
I have been interested in and practising Yoga for about 15 years now, but it has only been over the last year that I have become a qualified teacher through the British School of Yoga. Although all of my exams where done through BSY, all of my physical training has been done with Zen2yoga, where there is a wealth of talent in the Yoga and fitness field. It is an inspiring place to be, and has made me the fittest I have been in many years.
My philosophies are deeply seated in eastern traditions, so alongside the physical poses (asanas), I try to teach the importance of breath (pranayama) , how it moves/oxygenates the body and stills the mind, assisting us in our physical practice, and leading us, eventually into deep meditation.
I believe Yoga to be such a positive benefit to the individual. also, I believe that if you stretch/engage a muscle, it will serve you…I’m living proof. …so come along and change your body and mind.

Megan is a certified Pilates and Aerial Yoga instructor and been teaching Pilates for many years. Megan then went on to pursue her Diploma in Nutrition and Trauma Release Coaching. For fun, Megan studied Life Coaching to offer her private clients more help in their transformation process.
She keeps her classes freshly challenging, giving members the maximum benefit of Pilates training and she prides herself in giving individual attention to everyone who walks through the door. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 5 year old princess daughter and her husband touring a country and making friends along the way!
Trained to level 3 PT 10 years ago, I have PT clients that I work with mainly outdoors. My love of group fitness saw me teach mainly freestyle classes and metafit until around 4 years ago when I joined the Les Mills body attack and body pump instructor team which has been an amazing journey that has further sealed my love of fitness. I find happiness and joy in seeing clients and participants succeed in their goals and when it’s realised that group fitness is for everyone. I’m passionate about all things health and fitness.
